The Thousand
Years
Rev 20:1-6 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having
the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid
hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and
bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit,
and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations
no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must
be released for a little while. And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was
committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness
to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image,
and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived
and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand
years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed
and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second
death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall
reign with Him a thousand years.
The Coming
of the Lord
1Th 4:13 -
18 But I do not want you to be
ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as
others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,
even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
For this we
say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming
of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself
will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with
the trumpet of God. And the
dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are
alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds
to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
The First
Beast
Rev 13:1-18 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast
rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns
ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast which
I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a
bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power,
his throne, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as if
it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the
world marveled and followed the beast. So they worshiped the dragon who
gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying,
"Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?" And
he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given
authority to continue for forty-two months. Then he opened his mouth
in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who
dwell in heaven. It was granted to him to make war with the saints
and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and
nation. All who dwell on
the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of
Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If anyone has an ear, let him hear. He who
leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with
the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
The Second
Beast
Then I saw another beast coming up out of the
earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And
he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes
the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly
wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes
fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he
deceives those who dwell on the earth—by those signs which he was granted to do
in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an
image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was
granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of
the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be
killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to
receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that
no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or
the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him
who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number
of a man: His number is 666.
The Man of
Lawlessness
2Th 2:1-12 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon
shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if
from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive
you by any means; for that Day
will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of
perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called
God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing
himself that he is God. Do you not remember that when I was still
with you I told you these things? And now you know what is
restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the
mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until
He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be
revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and
destroy with the brightness of His coming. The
coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs,
and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who
perish, because they did
not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for
this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the
lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had
pleasure in unrighteousness.
Peter
Confesses Jesus as the Christ
Mat 16:13-20 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He
asked His disciples, saying, "Who
do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?" So
they said, "Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of
the prophets." He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus answered
and said to him, "Blessed are you,
Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father
who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I
will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the
keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in
heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell
no one that He was Jesus the Christ.
The Lord Is
My Shepherd
Psa 23 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie
down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He
restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's
sake. Yea, though I
walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For
You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they
comfort me. You prepare a table
before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup
runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of
my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.
