Morning Service

Heb 6:1-3  Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,  (2)  Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.  (3)  And this will we do, if God permit.

 

This morning we will look at the sixth, and final principle in the Oracles of God, or the Principles in the Doctrine of Christ.  The Gospel.  Remember this gospel is a simple, easy to understand plan of being saved from the final, eternal  judgment, of the second death, or being cast into the lake of fire.

·        2Co 11:3  But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

This principle has also brought fear, and well is should, to many a God fearing person, but listen to the writer;

·        Heb 2:14-15  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also(the Word of God) himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;  (15)  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

I know people who have been in church all their life, and are Christians, but are still afraid of death.  Jesus said, “you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.”  READ YOUR BIBLE, THE WORD OF GOD, THE TRUTH, AND IT WILL SET YOU FREE.

 

·        NOW YOU MUST UNDERSTAND WHAT I TEACH YOU ON THESE SUBJECTS IS WHAT I BELIEVE I RECEIVED FROM THE GUIDEANCE OF THE HOLY GHOST IN MY STUDIES.  I DID NOT ATTEND ANY DENOMINATIONAL COLLEGE, IF I HAD I WOULD HAVE CAME OUT TEACHING WHAT THEY WOULD HAVE TAUGHT ME TO TEACH, AND EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE MANY THINGS THE SAME, THERE ARE ALSO THINGS DIFFERENT.  THERE ARE BAPTIST, METHODIST, WESELYN, CHRISTIAN, PENTECOST, CATHOLIC, ALL OF THESE AND MORE HAVE THEIR COLLEGES OF ADVANCED STUDIES, AND THEY ARE NOT GOING TO TEACH YOU SOMEONE ELSES DOCTRINE, BUT THEIR OWN.  I WORE OUT BIBLE AFTER BIBLE FOR NINE YEARS BEFORE I ACCEPTED THE CALLING TO PREACH.  I READ AFTER DIFFERENT FAITHS, BUT ALWAYS USED THE BIBLE AS THE FINAL UNDERSTANDING.  MY MESSAGE HAS NOT CHANGED IN 42 YEARS, BUT SHOULD I SEE THAT I AM IN ERROR ON SOMETHING I CERTAINLY CAN CHANGE.  I HAVE HAD BUT ONE REASON TO PREACH THE GOSPEL, AND THAT IS SO PEOPLE CAN EXPERIENCE THE JOY, PEACE, AND FORGIVENESS OF SINS THROUGH THIS GOSPEL MESSAGE.  AND AS I COME TO THE END OF MY TIME IT IS ENCOURAGING TO ME TO KNOW THAT THIS MESSAGE WILL CONTINUE TO BE TAUGHT BY THE MEN THAT WILL TAKE MY PLACE.  GREG, STEVE, SAM, AND ANDY.  YOU ARE IN VERY GOOD HANDS.  IT IS THE GOSPEL THAT PAUL PREACHED STRAIGHT FROM THE WORD.

·        This message could also be sub-titled THE BOOK OF LIFE.  ETERNAL JUDGMENT, THE BOOK OF LIFE, AND THE IMMORTALITY OF THE SOUL, ARE ALL PART OF THIS VERY LENGHTY TEACHING, HOWEVER, YOU ARE GOING TO GET THE CONDENCED VERSION THIS MORNING.  CAN I GET AN (AMEN)?   THESE NOTES ARE FOR YOU TO TAKE HOME, AND RUN THE REFERENCES THAT ARE IN THEM.  BE LIKE THE BEREANS, AND BE MORE NOBLE AND STUDY YOUR SCRIPTURES.  THEY ARE LOVE LETTERS FROM YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER.  Do you remember the results of the Bereans studying the Scriptures? 

·        Act 17:12  Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.  Not a few means many believed.

Remember what John said,

·        Joh 20:31  But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

And it worked for the Bereans, and it will work for you.

 

ETERNAL JUDGMENT:

Jesus used parables to teach:

The disciples ask Jesus “why do you speak to them in parables.”

Luk 8:10  And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

In these parables Jesus uses hell (everlasting fire) as a means of punishment, and this is the second death.

EXAMPLE:

·        Mat 18:8-9  Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.  (9)  And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

Here Jesus is giving the warning of living a life of sin, which is the transgression of the laws of God.  The punishment for transgressing, and the reward for not breaking the laws of God.

NOW BECAUSE ONCE MAN GOT THE BIBLE, AND WAS ABLE TO READ IT, HE BEGAN PREACHING THIS MESSAGE TO SCARE PEOPLE INTO LIVING A GOOD LIFE FOR GOD.  YOU HAVE PROBABLY HEARD OF HELL FIRE AND BRIMSTONE PREACHERS, THIS IS WHAT THEY MEAN. 

NOW THIS WILL BE THE FINAL PUNISHMENT FOR PEOPLE THAT DON’T HAVE THEIR NAMES WRITTEN IN THE LAMB’S BOOK OF LIFE.        NOW NOTICE;

·        Exo 32:32  Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. Exo 32:33  And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

AND IN THE N.T. BOOK OF REVELATION WHERE IT TALKS ABOUT THE BOOK OF LIFE;

·        Rev 17:8  The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. 

AND THEN;

·        Rev 20:15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.    Other places; Plp.4:3; Rev.3:5; Rev.13:8; Rev.17:8;Rev.20:12; Rev.21:27;Rev.22:19.

THE FINAL JUDGMENT, OR PUNISHMENT WILL BE THE LAKE OF FIRE, OR SECOND DEATH.  THE PUNISHMENT WILL BE ETERNAL, BUT THE SOUL SHALL BE DESTROYED, SECOND DEATH, NOT A SLEEP THIS TIME.  THE SINNER DOES NOT POSSESS ETERNAL LIFE, AND SPEND IT IN HELL FIRE.  THERE IS NOT ETERNAL LIFE IN SOMEONE WHO HAS NOT ACCEPTED JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOR.  (Rom. 6:23)  (IJN.3:15)

Mat 10:28  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Hell fire was created for the devil, and his followers, not man, but it will be used for the final punishment of those who’s names are not written in the Lamb’s book of life.  Rev.25:41;

IN CLOSING:

Rev 21:7-8  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  (8)  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

 

Heavenly Father help us to strive to be overcomers that our names will not be removed from the book of life.  In Jesus name, amen.
