Walking In The Spirit! [No audio recording] July 12, 2009 Galatians 5:15-26
Read 1-14;
Gal 5:15-26 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed
one of another.
(16) This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the
flesh.
Phi 4:4-9 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
(5) Let
your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
(6) Be
careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
(7) And
the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.
(8) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good
report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think
on these things.
(9) Those
things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me,
do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
REMEMBER “YOU HAVE NOT
BECAUSE YOU ASK NOT, AND YOU ASK AMISS THAT YOU CONSUME IT UPON YOUR LUST.”
ASK, AND TRUST GOD FOR
YOUR NEEDS TO WALK IN THE SPIRIT.
NOW NOTICE:
(17) For
the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and
these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that
ye would.
(18) But
if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
(19) Now
the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery,
fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, (20) Idolatry, witchcraft,
hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, (21) Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which
I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which
do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
(22) But
the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness,
goodness, faith, (23) Meekness, temperance: against such there is
no law.
(24) And
they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and
lusts.
(25) If
we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (26) Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one
another.
LET US STRIVE TO DO
THE THINGS THAT THE APOSTLE HAS ENCOURAGED US TO DO THAT WE MIGHT BE PLEASING
TO GOD, AND TO MAN.
